I'm excited to say that, next week, I'll be starting a new job with the design team at Twitter building a user research program. I'll be working with a new set of folks I admire (Doug Bowman, for instance) on a site that is changing the way the world communicates. Did I mention I'm excited? 'Cause I am. My first day at Twitter is Monday, October 5.
This means I'll be leaving Digg. I believe in Digg more today than when I walked in the door and some of the things Digg is working on now will be great for the Web. The last two years have been a blast; I'm very proud to have been a part of some of the things we've built. Working with Daniel, Kevin, and the rest of Digg has kicked ass and I'll continue to advise Digg on user research. Quite shockingly, in spite of the atrocious record, I'll continue to serve as Digg's volleyball team captain.
My last day at Digg is Thursday. I'm taking Friday off and have no plans yet, so let me know if you'd like to explore SF!
I'm nervous, fired up, sad, ecstatic, and grateful.
